With the end of the year, the wanderlust starts to take over and we might start thinking about some industry events we might want to attend next year. They’re a good chance to (re)visit nice cities all around Europe, meet with colleagues and find out about new exciting opportunities. Here are some events I have my eye on for 2019:
This event, which aims to strengthen our industry by bringing language service companies and independent language professionals together in a positive, collaborative environment returns to the city where its first edition took place. The theme, Mastering Digital Transformation, which is all about focusing on what your business does best to stand out from the crowd and provide solutions to the changing needs of our end clients. You can register here.
This conference is an annual international event focusing on the latest technologies, localization industry trends and various domains of translation. This edition will be all about Translation 2020 and you can register here.
The Business + Practice conference will present some tweaks in its format with a few 3-hour workshops in parallel rooms in the morning and their popular short TED-like talks in the afternoon. All topped with a nice networking dinner. Registration available here.
The annual Mediterranean Editors and Translators Meeting (METM), now in its 15th year, is an established CPD and networking event – a highlight in the calendar for many editors, translators, interpreters and other providers of English-language support services in the Mediterranean area and beyond. It offers one and a half days of presentations and keynote speeches, two half days of pre-conference workshops, and a programme of “Off-METM” events.
The tcworld conference offers sessions that cover localization topics. It is accompanied by the tekom-Trade Fair, including sessions (in German) and an exhibition for the field of technical communication and information development.
